ABOUT THE ARTIST
Paul Kastrup was a Danish painter trained as a decorative painter after attending a technical drawing and painting school for six years. After completing his education, he devoted himself fully to fine art painting and undertook study trips to Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, and France.

He made his debut at the “Ung Kunst” exhibition at Kunstbygningen in Aarhus and later exhibited at Aarhus City Hall. In 1954 he held a solo exhibition at Charlottenborg in Copenhagen. Kastrup was also a member of the artist collective “De Ti”.

Working within an impressionist tradition, Kastrup first explored social themes before focusing primarily on landscapes and cityscapes. His paintings are known for their ability to capture spatial depth and movement. His work is represented in several public collections, including the Swedish Navy.
