Vintage Mediterranean village scene oil painting by Swedish artist Axel Hamborn, depicting rural harvest life in Southern Europe.
This charming composition shows whitewashed buildings, haystacks, and small figures gathered in a sunlit village setting. A tall tree anchors the scene, while the distant blue horizon suggests a coastal climate. The motif captures a quiet moment of everyday rural life.
Executed in oil on canvas.
The brushwork is loose and confident, with soft, earthy tones balanced by fresh greens and pale blues. Light plays gently across the architecture and ground, giving the painting a warm and relaxed atmosphere. The piece works well in both classic and rustic interiors, adding character and a sense of travel. Ideal as vintage wall decor or as part of a European-inspired setting.
