ABOUT THE ARTIST
Harald Grovens (born 1917 in Melbourne, Australia) was a Swedish painter. He studied at Otto Sköld’s painting school in 1949 and continued with independent studies, including training at a decorative arts school. He received an NKI scholarship in 1951.
Grovens exhibited regularly, including multiple appearances at Höstsalongen between 1952 and 1976, and held around 40 solo exhibitions. His work was influenced by extensive study trips across France, Spain, Greece, Italy, Germany, and Holland.
