Vintage Swedish farmhouse landscape oil painting from 1916, executed in oil on wooden panel. The scene shows a traditional red countryside building with thatched roof typical of the rural landscapes of southern Sweden.
This Swedish landscape painting depicts a traditional rural farmhouse surrounded by lush summer vegetation. The red wooden building with thatched roof is characteristic of historic farm architecture in the Scanian countryside of southern Sweden.
Executed in oil on wooden panel. The artist uses textured brushwork and layered greens to create depth in the trees and garden vegetation. The earthy palette and confident brushstrokes reflect early twentieth-century Scandinavian landscape painting.
Painted in 1916, the work is now more than one hundred years old and qualifies as an antique oil painting. The composition has a calm and balanced character that works well in Scandinavian, rustic, or classic European interiors.
