Peder Brøndum-Sørensen’s (1931-2001) subject world was especially the city, often seen from a living room window. But the town’s houses and people are not depicted to tell a story; they mostly serve as a starting point for the image’s abstract construction. The shape is strictly stylized, almost geometric, and the color is kept within a narrow scale of saturated earth tones.
