Signed lithograph by Jussi Taipaleenmäki depicting a colorful village scene, signed and EA edition from the 1990s.
The composition shows a lively rural scene with figures in motion along a winding path. A cyclist, a couple, and stylized houses sit under a bright sun. Trees and flowers frame the scene. The mood is playful and slightly surreal, with exaggerated forms and strong outlines.
Printed as a lithograph on paper. The surface shows rich color layering and expressive line work typical of Taipaleenmäki’s graphic style. This lithograph is part of a series inspired by songs by Swedish troubadour Cornelis Vreeswijk. As an Épreuve d’Artiste, this is a special artist’s proof outside the numbered edition.
The work has strong decorative appeal. It adds color and narrative to a room and works well in modern or eclectic interiors. Ideal as Scandinavian art, vintage print, or mid century wall art.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Jussi Taipaleenmäki (born 1948 in Oulu, Finland) is a painter, printmaker, and sculptor who later settled in Sweden. His work is known for its imaginative and unconventional character, often combining figurative elements with symbolic and narrative content.
His early life was highly unusual, living independently from a young age, which contributed to a strong sense of individuality and creative freedom. While working at a paper mill, he began experimenting with wax marking crayons on industrial paper, developing a distinctive and expressive technique later referred to as “Jussi-ism.”
Taipaleenmäki’s graphic works are recognized for their inventive compositions and emotional depth, placing him within a unique position in Scandinavian graphic art.
